Consolidate Federal Student Loans
Is it possible to consolidate federal Stafford student loans and student loans SELF?

I would like to consolidate my loans students (Federal Stafford subsidized and unsubsidized, loans SELF), without applying for private loans. Is this possible?

Consolidate private student loans, which is not exactly a student SELF loan, but similar, is a very good idea, however, I would advise against combining the types of loans together. Under the Consolidation Loan Program FFELP student loans self can not, by law, be included in a Federal Consolidation. If you were to combine their federal loans for students with student loans self to lose all your benefits federal that come along with the Federal Student loans. Their federal benefits are standard on all federal student loans, some of which include: unlimited in school deferment, federal subsidies on some loans, the interest paid is tax deductible, and 3 years of patience and postponement payment. If you were to combine their federal loans for students with student loans self would lose all these benefits. For more information about your Federal Benefits please visit the source below.
